Darkman

BumpMapFrame

When gangsters attack Peyton Westlake (a scientist who has discovered a way to produce synthetic skin), he is horrifically burnt, and assumed dead. In his quest for revenge, Peyton, aka the Darkman, is able to take on the appearance of anyone (using the synthetic skin,) but he only has 99 minutes per disguise

This was one of my VHS Favorites from the 90’s. A dark and foreboding hero who would strike fear into the hears of criminals.. yes, he was inspired by Batman, but who cares. The makeup effects where pretty damned good, except for the prosthetic teeth, which Liam Neeson says was a real pain in the ass to keep in place while he was talking. The story is, honestly, typical for your 80/90’s revenge action film.

So, what he’s using could be described as a 90’s version of a 3d printer which, as we know, is a very real thing today. We only wish our printed items could be done in such a short amount of time, from scanned photos.

There are no real complaints on this one, it’s a good action flick.
