Passengers

The spaceship, Avalon, in its 120-year voyage to a distant colony planet known as the “Homestead Colony” and transporting 5,258 people has a malfunction in one of its sleep chambers. As a result one hibernation pod opens prematurely and the one person that awakes, Jim Preston (Chris Pratt) is stranded on the spaceship, still 90 years from his destination.

I really enjoyed this Sci-Drama.

A man wakes 36 years into a 120 year journey to another planet and finds that he’s alone. Well, not entirely alone, but everyone on the ship is in suspended animation. Can you picture that? 90 years until you reach your destination… alone. Of course, chances are you arent going to make it. That’s the drama of this film. What would you do?

After a year.. you do the one thing that’s been on your mind. Wake someone else up. It’s wrong. It’s understandable, but it’s wrong. You’ve solved your solitude, but, you’ve condemned someone to the exact fate that  you were put in, by an accident.

This really was a good movie. And I recommend it to all of my friends.
