The crew of the colony ship Covenant, bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world. When they uncover a threat beyond their imagination, they must attempt a harrowing escape
The question I had when going into the theater was… “Will this be better than Prometheus?” – and the short answer is, Yes, thank goodness. But, no matter now much better than its predecessor, it still had some glaring issues that made me roll my eyes.
Yes, I would recommend seeing this one, it’s good. But, saying that.. Here’s what I thought.
- Two Androids. Oh boy, here we go with the good robot/bad robot thing. Why didnt you just name them Data and Lore?
- During the first “burst” scene, the xenomorph came out of the persons’ back. I mean, right in the center. This is always a pet peeve of mine. I’ll state it again.. We have a SPINE right there!
- The 2nd burst was more of a regurgitation. Path of least resistance, I get it.. just.. kinda weird.
- Why does the android’s hair grow?
- The Ending was predictable and boring.
- You have two, identical, androids.. the newer “good” android has the ability to heal its own wounds.. the older “evil” android can not. Ending of the movie, everything is calming down, and we’re not supposed to know which android survived.. accept, that you’ve made no attempt to hide the fact that he’s now sitting in front of a mirror, stapling his wounds.. DUH.
So, I didn’t hate it – but I think it could have been handled better by giving the audience a little credit and not dumbing it down.
