Doctor Sleep

Years following the events of “The Shining,” a now-adult Dan Torrance meets a young girl with similar powers as he tries to protect her from a cult known as The True Knot who prey on children with powers to remain immortal.

In short. I liked it.

I haven’t read the book, so I cannot compare it to the original works.. but this sequel of The Shining lived up to the hype that my co-worker had been going on about ever since the movie was announced.  The acting was great.. I had no issues with the primary cast. The only thing I wish was done differently, was Jack Nicholson should have returned to reprise the role of Jack Torrance (who only appeared for a minute) – de-aged or at least, they should have used Jack’s voice.

It was very cool to see a horror movie set in New Hampshire, my home state.. even if the towns were fictional.

If you are a fan of The Shining, I highly recommend this movie!
