Deadpool & Wolverine ★★★★★

A listless Wade Wilson toils away in civilian life with his days as the morally flexible mercenary, Deadpool, behind him. But when his homeworld faces an existential threat, Wade must reluctantly suit-up again with an even more reluctant Wolverine.

Deadpool & Wolverine was the best thing to come out of Disney’s Marvel Cinematic Universe since Endgame. In a total clusterf*ck of lackluster and oversaturated MCU content, D&W was actually smart, enjoyable and re-watchable with a perfect mix of action, comedy and drama that we sorely need at the theater.

No complaints about the acting, everything seems spot on, everyone brought their A-Game. And although I am thoroughly sick of the “multiverse”, there is no way this movie exists without it and the TVA from the Loki series.

Now, one of the things it did really well was introducing a villain who, to be honest, I had never heard of.. explaining her, and making her justified on screen. Too often lately, i’ve been seeing these movies (like Madam Web, for example) with a villian who no one cares about, and doesnt give anyone any reason to care.. they did good here with Cassandra Nova.

Great deal of Cameos, most of which by the original actors who portrayed them in earlier movies. LOTS AND LOTS of jabbing at the intellectual property battle between Fox and Disney, and even ripping on Disney for sucking for the last few years with all the failures both on screen and streaming.

Overall a very enjoyable experience, and will be an addition to my library when the bluray is available.
