The Addams Family goes on a search for their relatives.
Yup.. that’s all that IMDB has to say about it. And I have nothing good to say about this movie. Tim Curry should be ashamed of himself for getting involved in this horrible, horrible project. This is really scraping the bottom of the proverbial barrel.. This is an abortion of a film. I’m sorry, but that’s how I feel.
I love Tim Curry.. I really do, he’s a wonderful actor. I cant imagine what possessed him to do this. Darryl Hannah is a good actress in her own right.. but taking on the role of Morticia Addams was just beyond her. Pugsley is a fat tub of goo. I’m sorry, he’s always been portrayed as a little hefty, but this kid is a mountain. It looks like he ate Jimmy Workman (Pugsley / from the previous movies). Wednesday looks like a gothic lolita doll. In the previous movies, Christina Ricci was certainly not ugly.. but made to look plain and simple. This girl looks like she’s turning tricks behind a mausoleum at a nearby cemetery.
Let’s get back to the IMDB summary.. “on a search for their relatives” what?? Did you not see the first movie where they had a hundred Addams’s dancing around? I watched his movie back when it first came out on VHS.. yes VHS.. I rented it.. and it made me want to punch the director in the throat.
Do not waste your time, or brain cells, on this horrible sack of crap.
