Kylie Bucknell is forced to return to the house she grew up in when the court places her on home detention. Her punishment is made all the more unbearable by the fact she has to live there with her mother Miriam – a well-intentioned blabbermouth who’s convinced that the house is haunted.
This one’s been on my “Recommended” list on Netflix for a while now.. I didn’t know it was a Horror/Comedy at first.. but I have to say, it wasn’t bad. A lot of the comedy comes from “Oh, give me a break” situations.. Running through a yard and getting your foot caught in a opossum trap; moving an ice chest to climb so you can break a window, only to find the key’s are under the chest.. etc., I had more than a few chuckle’s and groans..
It’s a fun movie, filled with ..almost.. British humor? (it’s New Zealand). If you’re looking for a light romp of comedy laced horror, then give this one a play on Netflix.
