A Charlie Brown Christmas

BumpMapFrame

When Charlie Brown complains about the overwhelming materialism that he sees amongst everyone during the Christmas season, Lucy suggests that he become director of the school Christmas paegent. Charlie Brown accepts, but it proves to be a frustrating struggle. When an attempt to restore the proper spirit with a forlorn little fir Christmas tree fails, he needs Linus’ help to learn what the real meaning of Christmas is.

The most ironic thing about this movie is that the little tree, which was symbolic of the fight against the commercialization of Christmas, is now for sale at Amazon.com for the low-low price of $17. What can I say? I’m a sucker for the old classic TV Specials, this time of year. And, Christian or not, you can’t deny the spirit of this half hour cartoon.

Always a treat for the kids, and young at heart and a favorite in December. I can’t recommend this movie enough.
