- A horror film that depicts St. Nicholas as a murderous bishop who kidnaps and murders children when there is a full moon on December 5.
It’s a story concept that’s been done a few times in recent years – such as in “Silent Night / Deadly Night”, Rare Exports, Santa’s Slay, and others… featuring an “evil” version of Santa. Or, in this case, Saint Nicholas. “Saint” visits the Netherlands and brings us their tradition of the celebration of Sinterklaas (Saint Nicolas), where the arrival of Saint Nick and his helpers (Zwarte Piet aka Black Peter) is remembered with gift giving and celebration.
But.. every 30+ years, there is a full moon, and Saint Nick takes the naughty away. Well, at least according to this movie. All and all, I found “Saint” to be entertaining and a fun to watch.
