In Montreal, Joey is the lead singer of the struggling band “The Winners”, composed by the sexy bass singer Jennifer, the guitarist Tyler, the drummer Sam and the handyman Hugo. Their incompetent and alcoholic manager Jeff is incapable to help them to reach success and they are on the road on tour playing in clubs and bars in Canada and United States of America. After a show in a bar in Montreal, Jennifer, who is also the Joey’s former girlfriend, leaves the place with the creepy Queeny, who is a vampire, and they spend the night together. On the next morning, Jennifer does not meet the band and they travel in their hearse to participate in a rock ‘n’ roll show without her. The Lost Boys have new friends on the block.. Suck is one of my new favorites in the world of Vampires movies. Though it doesn’t get into a lot of lore, or serious traditional Vampire overtones.. this movie rocks. And there’s a good reason for that. This movie is littered.. no, dare I say, Slathered in Rock.

  • Alice Cooper – as the Bartender (and vampire)
  • Moby – as Beef
  • Henry Rollins (Black Flag) – as DJ “Rockin Roger”
  • Iggy Pop (The Stooges) – as Victor
  • Dimitri Coats (Burning Brides) – as Queeny (Vampire)
  • Alex Lifeson (RUSH) – as the US border agent
  • Carole Pope (Rough Trade) – as the club bouncer
  • Calico Cooper (Alice Cooper’s daughter) – as the bar maid

If you like music, and vampires.. I highly recommend this one. Even for teen viewers.. there’s a little swearing, Some severed limbs, but you don’t actually see any gore, and there’s no nudity.

  • Border Agent: Sir, do you have any weapons in the vehicle?
  • Eddie: Oh yeah, lots of weapons..
  • Border Agent: Welcome to America, Sir.
